Prayer on Days after the night of 15^th Shaban

 

اللّٰهُمَّ اِنْ لَمْ تَكُنْ غَفَرْتَ لَنَا فِيمَا مَضَى مِنْ شَعْبَانَ فَاغْفِرْ لَنَا فِيمَا بَقِيَ مِنْهُ

O Allah!  If You have not Forgiven us in the days of Shaban that have passed then Forgive us in the days left behind in Shaban.

 

Prayer for every Day of Shaban at the start of afternoon.

اللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ شَجَرَةِ النُّبُوَّةِ وَ مَوْضِعِ الرِّسَالَةِ وَ

O Allah! Send Blessings upon Mohammad and the Family of Mohammad, the tree of the Prophethood, the Place of the Message,

مُخْتَلَفِ الْمَلائِكَةِ وَ مَعْدِنِ الْعِلْمِ وَ اَهْلِ بَيْتِ الْوَحْيِ اللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ

Upon whom the angels descend, the treasure of the Knowledge and the People of House of Revelation.  O Allah Send Thy Blessings upon Mohammad

وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفُلْكِ الْجَارِيَةِ فِي اللُّجَجِ الْغَامِرَةِ يَأْمَنُ مَنْ رَكِبَهَا وَ يَغْرَقُ مَنْ

and his Family, the sailing ship in the stormy whorls.  The one who aboard this ship became saved and drowned is the one

تَرَكَهَا الْمُتَقَدِّمُ لَهُمْ مَارِقٌ وَ الْمُتَاَخِّرُ عَنْهُمْ زَاهِقٌ وَ اللازِمُ لَهُمْ لاحِقٌ اللّٰهُمَّ

who avoided it.  The one who leaves them is excluded from religion.  The one who remains behind will finish.  The one who remains with them will reach the right.  O Allah!

صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْكَهْفِ الْحَصِينِ وَ غِيَاثِ الْمُضْطَرِّ الْمُسْتَكِينِ

Send Thy Blessings upon Mohammad and his Family, who are well protected fort like cave, who attend to the call of the deprived,  

وَ مَلْجَاِ الْهَارِبِينَ وَ عِصْمَةِ الْمُعْتَصِمِينَ اللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ

the salvation of the running aways and and safety for the attached ones.  O Allah! Send Thy Blessings upon Mohammad and his Family,

صَلاةً كَثِيرَةً تَكُونُ لَهُمْ رِضًى وَ لِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ اَدَاءً وَ قَضَاءً بِحَوْلٍ

the abundant Blessings so that they may be satisfied and for the right of Mohammad   and his Family, offered in time and after time, with Thy Force

مِنْكَ وَ قُوَّةٍ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ اللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّيِّبِينَ

and Power.  O Allah! Send Blessing to Mohammad and his noble Family,

الْاَبْرَارِ الْاَخْيَارِ الَّذِينَ اَوْجَبْتَ حُقُوقَهُمْ وَ فَرَضْتَ طَاعَتَهُمْ وَ وِلايَتَهُمْ

who are the selected pious ones, whose rights, obedience and rule are obligated.

اللّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اعْمُرْ قَلْبِي بِطَاعَتِكَ وَ لا تُخْزِنِي

O Allah! Send Thy Blessings upon Mohammad and his family.  Populate my heart with Thy Obedience.  Let Not  Loose my respect

 بِمَعْصِيَتِكَ وَ ارْزُقْنِي مُوَاسَاةَ مَنْ قَتَّرْتَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ رِزْقِكَ، بِمَا وَسَّعْتَ عَلَيَّ

with Thy sins. Let me Attach to the one whose sustenance is decreased as Thou Hast Made my sustenance vast,

مِنْ فَضْلِكَ وَ نَشَرْتَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ عَدْلِكَ وَ اَحْيَيْتَنِي تَحْتَ ظِلِّكَ وَ هٰذَا شَهْرُ

out of Thy Blessings, spread it upon me due to Thy Justice and let me live in Thy shadow.  This month of Shaban is the month

نَبِيِّكَ سَيِّدِ رُسُلِكَ شَعْبَانُ الَّذِي حَفَفْتَهُ مِنْكَ بِالرَّحْمَةِ وَ الرِّضْوَانِ الَّذِي كَانَ

of Thy Prophet, the Chief of Thy Messengers.  This month  is surrounded by Thy Blessings and Pleasure.  In that

رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ آلِهِ وَ [سَلَّمَ‏] يَدْاَبُ فِي صِيَامِهِ وَ قِيَامِهِ فِي

the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him and his family, used to keep Fast and stand up humbly for Salat Prayers

لَيَالِيهِ وَ اَيَّامِهِ بُخُوعا لَكَ فِي اِكْرَامِهِ وَ اِعْظَامِهِ اِلَى مَحَلِّ حِمَامِهِ اللّٰهُمَّ فَاَعِنَّا

in its nights and days, due to the Respect in Obedience, throughout his life.  O Allah!  Help us

عَلَى الاسْتِنَانِ بِسُنَّتِهِ فِيهِ وَ نَيْلِ الشَّفَاعَةِ لَدَيْهِ اللّٰهُمَّ وَ اجْعَلْهُ لِي شَفِيعا

to follow his Sunnah practices in this month and Let us reach his Intercession.  O Allah! Make him my Intercessor

مُشَفَّعا وَ طَرِيقا اِلَيْكَ مَهْيَعا وَ اجْعَلْنِي لَهُ مُتَّبِعا حَتَّى اَلْقَاكَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَنِّي

whose intercession is accepted with Thee and Make him for me an open way toward Thee until I see Thee on the Day of Judgement that Thou are

رَاضِيا وَ عَنْ ذُنُوبِي غَاضِيا قَدْ اَوْجَبْتَ لِي مِنْكَ الرَّحْمَةَ وَ الرِّضْوَانَ وَ

Happy with me and Overlook my sins.  Make for me Obligated the Blessings and the Pleasure.

اَنْزَلْتَنِي دَارَ الْقَرَارِ وَ مَحَلَّ الْاَخْيَارِ.

Make me reach the Home of Permanent Abide and the Place of the selected people.

 

5. Prayer on the night of 15^th of Shaban

Shaykh al-Tusi and Shaykh al-Kaf’ami say: It is suitable to say the following  prayer at this night:

اِلَهِي تَعَرَّضَ لَكَ فِي هٰذَا اللَّيْلِ الْمُتَعَرِّضُونَ وَ قَصَدَكَ الْقَاصِدُونَ وَ اَمَّلَ

O my Allah! The asking people ask from Thee in this night.  The ones aiming at the noblest purpose aimed at Thee and have hope

فَضْلَكَ وَ مَعْرُوفَكَ الطَّالِبُونَ وَ لَكَ فِي هٰذَا اللَّيْلِ نَفَحَاتٌ وَ جَوَائِزُ وَ عَطَايَا

for Thy Blessings and the demanding ones ask for Thy Goodness. For Thee is this night full of Bliss, gifts, favors

 وَ مَوَاهِبُ تَمُنُّ بِهَا عَلَى مَنْ تَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ وَ تَمْنَعُهَا مَنْ لَمْ تَسْبِقْ لَهُ الْعِنَايَةُ

and givings that Thou Bestow to the one Thou wish from among your men.  Thou stop from the one upon whom Thou Does Not Bestow a Favor.

 مِنْكَ وَ هَا اَنَا ذَا عُبَيْدُكَ الْفَقِيرُ اِلَيْكَ الْمُؤَمِّلُ فَضْلَكَ وَ مَعْرُوفَكَ فَاِنْ

I am a needy one toward Thee, I hope for Thy Blessings and Goodness because

كُنْتَ يَا مَوْلايَ تَفَضَّلْتَ فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ عَلَى اَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ وَ عُدْتَ

O my Master! If Thou Bless upon a single one from Thy creation and send Thy favor

عَلَيْهِ بِعَائِدَةٍ مِنْ عَطْفِكَ فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّيِّبِينَ الطَّاهِرِينَ

out of Thy Kindness then send Blessings to Mohammad and his noble and purified family,

الْخَيِّرِينَ الْفَاضِلِينَ وَ جُدْ عَلَيَّ بِطَوْلِكَ وَ مَعْرُوفِكَ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَ صَلَّى

the chosen ones and the meritorious ones and Do you Generosity and Goodness to me O the Lord of the worlds and may

اللّٰهُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِينَ وَ سَلَّمَ تَسْلِيما اِنَّ اللّٰهَ حَمِيدٌ

Allah shower His Blessings upon Mohammad, the seal of the Prophets and his purified family and the complete salutations.  Indeed Allah is the Praised One and

مَجِيدٌ اللّٰهُمَّ اِنِّي اَدْعُوكَ كَمَا اَمَرْتَ فَاسْتَجِبْ لِي كَمَا وَعَدْتَ اِنَّكَ لا تُخْلِفُ

Majestic.  O Allah! I pray as Thee Commanded.  Hence accept my prayers as Thee Promised.  Indeed Thou does not violate

 الْمِيعَادَ.

the promise.

 

3. Prayer on the night of 15^th of Shaban

 

The Holy Prophet (pbuh&hf) used to recite this Prayer on the night of 15^th of Shaban.

اللّٰهُمَّ اقْسِمْ لَنَا مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ مَا يَحُولُ بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَ مَعْصِيَتِكَ وَ مِنْ طَاعَتِكَ

O Allah! Destine for us Thy Fear that should stand between us and Thy sins and Bless us with Thy Obedience

مَا تُبَلِّغُنَا بِهِ رِضْوَانَكَ وَ مِنَ الْيَقِينِ مَا يَهُونُ عَلَيْنَا بِهِ مُصِيبَاتُ الدُّنْيَا اللّٰهُمَّ

to reach Thy Pleasure.  Bless us with Thy Certainty that the calamities of the world may not defeat us.  O Allah!

 اَمْتِعْنَا بِاَسْمَاعِنَا وَ اَبْصَارِنَا وَ قُوَّتِنَا مَا اَحْيَيْتَنَا وَ اجْعَلْهُ الْوَارِثَ مِنَّا وَ اجْعَلْ

Bless us with the hearing, eyesight and energy for our living.  Make our heirs and make

ثَارَنَا عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَنَا وَ انْصُرْنَا عَلَى مَنْ عَادَانَا وَ لا تَجْعَلْ مُصِيبَتَنَا فِي دِينِنَا

Our revenge taker from the one who do cruelty to us and help us against the one who become enemy of us and do not let the calamity reach our religion.

وَ لا تَجْعَلِ الدُّنْيَا اَكْبَرَ هَمِّنَا وَ لا مَبْلَغَ عِلْمِنَا وَ لا تُسَلِّطْ عَلَيْنَا مَنْ لا

Do not make the world our biggest aim and the purpose of our knowledge and do not let govern anyone who is not

يَرْحَمُنَا بِرَحْمَتِكَ يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

merciful on us, all because of Thy Merci O the Best of the mercifuls.

4. Prayer on the 15^th of Shaban

Shaykh al-Tusi, in Misbah al-Mutahajjid, has narrated a tradition about the merits of the night of mid-Sha’ban entailing that Abu-Yahya asked Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq(a.s.) about the best of  prayers to be said at this night. The Imam (a.s.) instructed him, saying:

After you accomplish the obligatory Isha’ Prayer, you may offer a two unit prayer in the first unit of which you should recite Surah al-Faatehah and Surah al-Kafirun and in the second Surah al-Faatehah and Surah al-Tawheed. When you accomplish the prayer, you may repeat (the phrase of) subhanallah thirty-three times, (the phrase of) alhamdulillah thirty-three times, and (the phrase of) Allahu-akbar thirty-four times. You may then say the following  prayer:

 

يَا مَنْ اِلَيْهِ مَلْجَاُ الْعِبَادِ [يَلْجَاُ الْعِبَادُ] فِي الْمُهِمَّاتِ وَ اِلَيْهِ يَفْزَعُ الْخَلْقُ فِي

O the One to Whom people return in difficult matters, to Whom the creation apprehend

 الْمُلِمَّاتِ يَا عَالِمَ الْجَهْرِ وَ الْخَفِيَّاتِ [وَ] يَا مَنْ لا تَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ خَوَاطِرُ

to in Disasters.  O the Knower of the loud and hidden worlds.  O the One upon Whom the movements of ideas and the manipulation of thoughts is not hidden.

الْاَوْهَامِ وَ تَصَرُّفُ الْخَطَرَاتِ يَا رَبَّ الْخَلائِقِ وَ الْبَرِيَّاتِ يَا مَنْ بِيَدِهِ مَلَكُوتُ

O the Lord of the creations and folks!  O the One in Whose hand is the kingdom of the

 الْاَرَضِينَ وَ السَّمَاوَاتِ اَنْتَ اللّٰهُ لا اِلَهَ اِلا اَنْتَ اَمُتُّ اِلَيْكَ بِلا اِلَهَ اِلا اَنْتَ

earths and heavens.  You are Allah.  There is no god but You.  I attend to Thee while there is no worshipped one except Thee.

فَيَا لا اِلَهَ اِلا اَنْتَ اجْعَلْنِي فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ مِمَّنْ نَظَرْتَ اِلَيْهِ فَرَحِمْتَهُ وَ سَمِعْتَ

O the One God that there no one else than Thee.  Make me among the one You looked at him and had mercy upon him and when listened to

 دُعَاءَهُ فَاَجَبْتَهُ وَ عَلِمْتَ اسْتِقَالَتَهُ فَاَقَلْتَهُ وَ تَجَاوَزْتَ عَنْ سَالِفِ خَطِيئَتِهِ وَ

his prayer You accepted that.  You knew his repentence and forgave that and pardoned his past mistakes and

 عَظِيمِ جَرِيرَتِهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَجَرْتُ بِكَ مِنْ ذُنُوبِي وَ لَجَأْتُ اِلَيْكَ فِي سَتْرِ عُيُوبِي

Great errors.  Hence I take refuge in You from my sins and request Thee to hide my defects.

اللّٰهُمَّ فَجُدْ عَلَيَّ بِكَرَمِكَ وَ احْطُطْ خَطَايَايَ بِحِلْمِكَ وَ عَفْوِكَ وَ تَغَمَّدْنِي فِي

O Allah! Be kind to me with Thy Kindness, Pardon my mistakes by Thy Majestic Nobility and Forgiveness.  Cover me with

هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ بِسَابِغِ كَرَامَتِكَ وَ اجْعَلْنِي فِيهَا مِنْ اَوْلِيَائِكَ الَّذِينَ اجْتَبَيْتَهُمْ

the shadow of Thy Kindness in this night.  Make me from Thy friends Whom Thou Has Chosen

 لِطَاعَتِكَ وَ اخْتَرْتَهُمْ لِعِبَادَتِكَ وَ جَعَلْتَهُمْ خَالِصَتَكَ وَ صَفْوَتَكَ اللّٰهُمَّ

For Thy Obedience and Selected them for Thy worship and made them loyal to You and purified for You.

اجْعَلْنِي مِمَّنْ سَعَدَ جَدُّهُ وَ تَوَفَّرَ مِنَ الْخَيْرَاتِ حَظُّهُ وَ اجْعَلْنِي مِمَّنْ سَلِمَ فَنَعِمَ

Make me the one whose effort became successful and increase my share in virtues.  Make me the one who submitted and Blessed

وَ فَازَ فَغَنِمَ وَ اكْفِنِي شَرَّ مَا اَسْلَفْتُ وَ اعْصِمْنِي مِنَ الازْدِيَادِ فِي مَعْصِيَتِكَ

And the one who reached success and benefitted.  Be Sufficient for me against the evil I practiced and save me from the excess in Thy sins.

 وَ حَبِّبْ اِلَيَّ طَاعَتَكَ وَ مَا يُقَرِّبُنِي مِنْكَ وَ يُزْلِفُنِي عِنْدَكَ سَيِّدِي اِلَيْكَ يَلْجَاُ

Increase my love in Thy obedience and the love of the one who make me near to You and make me liked by You.  O my Master! I seek You

 الْهَارِبُ وَ مِنْكَ يَلْتَمِسُ الطَّالِبُ وَ عَلَى كَرَمِكَ يُعَوِّلُ الْمُسْتَقِيلُ التَّائِبُ

Running and to You the demanding one is attached.  I return to Your Kindness.  The erring one is repenting.

اَدَّبْتَ عِبَادَكَ بِالتَّكَرُّمِ وَ اَنْتَ اَكْرَمُ الْاَكْرَمِينَ وَ اَمَرْتَ بِالْعَفْوِ عِبَادَكَ وَ اَنْتَ

Thou trained Thy men with Kindness and Thy are the Best of the Kind.  Thy Commanded the Forgiveness of Thy people and Thou is

 الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ اللّٰهُمَّ فَلا تَحْرِمْنِي مَا رَجَوْتُ مِنْ كَرَمِكَ وَ لا تُؤْيِسْنِي مِنْ

the Forgiving and the Merciful.  O Allah!  Hence Do Not Stop me from the hope of Thy Kindness and Do Not make me hopeless from

سَابِغِ نِعَمِكَ وَ لا تُخَيِّبْنِي مِنْ جَزِيلِ قِسَمِكَ فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ لِاَهْلِ طَاعَتِكَ وَ

benefitting from Thy Blessings and Do Not Abandon me from the share destined for me in this night for the people of obedience.

 اجْعَلْنِي فِي جُنَّةٍ مِنْ شِرَارِ بَرِيَّتِكَ رَبِّ اِنْ لَمْ اَكُنْ مِنْ اَهْلِ ذَلِكَ فَاَنْتَ اَهْلُ

Make me on a shield from the evil folk.  O Lord! If I am not from such people then Thou are

الْكَرَمِ وَ الْعَفْوِ وَ الْمَغْفِرَةِ، وَ جُدْ عَلَيَّ بِمَا اَنْتَ اَهْلُهُ لا بِمَا اَسْتَحِقُّهُ فَقَدْ

the Kind One and Forgiver and Pardoner.  Do to me for what You deserve not the one what I deserve because

حَسُنَ ظَنِّي بِكَ وَ تَحَقَّقَ رَجَائِي لَكَ وَ عَلِقَتْ نَفْسِي بِكَرَمِكَ فَاَنْتَ اَرْحَمُ

I hold good ideas belong to You and my hope is established in You and self is connected to Thy Kindness.  Hence Thou are the Best

الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ اَكْرَمُ الْاَكْرَمِينَ اللّٰهُمَّ وَ اخْصُصْنِي مِنْ كَرَمِكَ بِجَزِيلِ قِسَمِكَ وَ

of the mercifuls and the Best of the kind.  O Lord Be special for me in Thy Kindness in the share of  Thy destiny.

اَعُوذُ بِعَفْوِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ وَ اغْفِرْ لِيَ الذَّنْبَ الَّذِي يَحْبِسُ عَلَيَّ [عَنِّي‏]الْخُلُقَ

I seek reuge in Thy Forgiveness from Thy Punishment.  Forgive my sins that trapped me in the bad morals

وَ يُضَيِّقُ عَلَيَّ الرِّزْقَ حَتَّى اَقُومَ بِصَالِحِ رِضَاكَ وَ اَنْعَمَ بِجَزِيلِ عَطَائِكَ وَ

and narrowed my sustenance until I may stand with the Correctness of Thy Will and may be Blessed by Thy Bounty.

اَسْعَدَ بِسَابِغِ نَعْمَائِكَ فَقَدْ لُذْتُ بِحَرَمِكَ وَ تَعَرَّضْتُ لِكَرَمِكَ وَ اسْتَعَذْتُ

and be successful in reaching Thy Blessings.  I took refuge in Thy Place and I became attached to Thy Kindness.  I seek refuge in

بِعَفْوِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ وَ بِحِلْمِكَ مِنْ غَضَبِكَ فَجُدْ بِمَا سَاَلْتُكَ وَ اَنِلْ مَا

Thy Forgiveness from Thy Punishment and I seek reguge in Thy Nobility from Thy anger.  Hence accept my request from Thee and let me reach

 الْتَمَسْتُ مِنْكَ اَسْاَلُكَ بِكَ لا بِشَيْ‏ءٍ هُوَ اَعْظَمُ مِنْكَ

what I requested.  I ask from Thee by the fact that nothing is greater than Thee.

2. Prayer on the 15^th of Shaban.

Shaikh narrated from Ismail bin Fazal Hashmi that Imam Sadiq a.s. taught him this prayer on the 15^th of Shaban.

 

اللّٰهُمَّ اَنْتَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ الْخَالِقُ الرَّازِقُ الْمُحْيِي الْمُمِيتُ

O Allah! You are Everliving, the Self  Subsisting by Whom all subsist, the High, the Great, the Creator, the Sustainer, the Giver of life, the Bringer of death,

الْبَدِي‏ءُ الْبَدِيعُ لَكَ الْجَلالُ وَ لَكَ الْفَضْلُ وَ لَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَ لَكَ الْمَنُّ وَ لَكَ

The Beginner, the Originator, for You is the Majesty, for You is the Merit, for You is the Praise, for You is the Generosity, for You is the Munificence,  

الْجُودُ وَ لَكَ الْكَرَمُ وَ لَكَ الْاَمْرُ وَ لَكَ الْمَجْدُ وَ لَكَ الشُّكْرُ وَحْدَكَ لا

For You is the Bounty, for You is the Command, for You is the Glory, for You is the Thankfulness.  You are One, there is no one Equal to You.

 كُفُوا اَحَدٌ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ اغْفِرْ لِي وَ ارْحَمْنِي وَ اكْفِنِي مَا

Send Blessings upon Mohammad and the Family of Mohammad.  Forgive me, Have mercy on me, Be Sufficient for

اَهَمَّنِي وَ اقْضِ دَيْنِي وَ وَسِّعْ عَلَيَّ فِي رِزْقِي فَاِنَّكَ فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ كُلَّ اَمْرٍ

what I aim for, Settle my debt, Make my sustenance vast because in this night all matters are

 حَكِيمٍ تَفْرُقُ وَ مَنْ تَشَاءُ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ تَرْزُقُ فَارْزُقْنِي وَ اَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِقِينَ

decided.  You Give sustenance to the one in the creation You Wish. Give me the sustenance as You are the Best of the Sustainers.

فَاِنَّكَ قُلْتَ وَ اَنْتَ خَيْرُ الْقَائِلِينَ النَّاطِقِينَ وَ اسْئَلُوا اللّٰهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ فَمِنْ

You said, and You are the Best of the speakers and sayers, to ask from Your Blessings.  Hence

 فَضْلِكَ اَسْاَلُ وَ اِيَّاكَ قَصَدْتُ وَ ابْنَ نَبِيِّكَ اعْتَمَدْتُ وَ لَكَ رَجَوْتُ

I ask from Your Blessings.  I aimed for You and the son of  Your Prophet.  I trusted You and I hope from You.

فَارْحَمْنِي يَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ

Have mercy on me O the Best of the mercifuls.

 

 

 

 

Mafatih ul Janan 

 Prayer in the night of 15th Shaban 

 On the night of 15th Shaban it is recommended to say the following prayer, which is like a Ziyarat for Imam al-Mahdi(a.s.). This prayer has been mentioned by both Sayyid Ibn Tawus and Shaykh al-Tusi:

 اللّٰهُمَّ بِحَقِّ لَيْلَتِنَا [هَذِهِ‏] وَ مَوْلُودِهَا وَ حُجَّتِكَ وَ مَوْعُودِهَا الَّتِي قَرَنْتَ اِلَى 

 O ALLAH! For the sake of this night and the one who is born in that and Your Hujjat and the promised one upon whom You bestowed Blessings upon Blessings.

 فَضْلِهَا فَضْلا فَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُكَ صِدْقا وَ عَدْلا لا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِكَ وَ 

Hence Your Words completed with truth and justice, the Words that cannot be changed.

 لا مُعَقِّبَ لِآيَاتِكَ نُورُكَ الْمُتَاَلِّقُ وَ ضِيَاؤُكَ الْمُشْرِقُ وَ الْعَلَمُ النُّورُ فِي طَخْيَاء 

Your verses cannot be changed. He is Your shining Light and Your Light in Florescence. He is the beacon of Light in the darkness of night,

 الدَّيْجُورِ الْغَائِبُ الْمَسْتُورُ جَلَّ مَوْلِدُهُ وَ كَرُمَ مَحْتِدُهُ وَ الْمَلائِكَةُ 

Hidden in the absence. His birthplace is Glorified, his origin is dignified and angels are 

 شُهَّدُهُ وَ اللّٰهُ نَاصِرُهُ وَ مُؤَيِّدُهُ اِذَا آنَ مِيعَادُهُ وَ الْمَلائِكَةُ [فَالْمَلائِكَةُ] 

the witness. Allah is his helper and will assist him when his promised time will come. Angels will be his help.

 اَمْدَادُهُ سَيْفُ اللّٰهِ الَّذِي لا يَنْبُو وَ نُورُهُ الَّذِي لا يَخْبُو وَ ذُو الْحِلْمِ الَّذِي 

 He is the Sword of Allah that does not loose its sharpness and Light that does not extinguish. He possesses the forbearance that does not leave the limits.

 لا يَصْبُو مَدَارُ الدَّهْرِ وَ نَوَامِيسُ الْعَصْرِ وَ وُلاةُ الْاَمْرِ وَ الْمُنَزَّلُ عَلَيْهِمْ مَا 

 He is the center of eras. These infallibles are the respect of time, the rulers of the Law of Allah and is revealed upon them

 يَتَنَزَّلُ [يَنْزِلُ‏] فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ ، وَ اَصْحَابُ الْحَشْرِ وَ النَّشْرِ تَرَاجِمَةُ 

 what is revealed in Lailatul Qadr, our companions on the Day of Judgement, the speakers of the revelation of Allah,

 وَحْيِهِ وَ وُلاةُ اَمْرِهِ وَ نَهْيِهِ اللّٰهُمَّ فَصَلِّ عَلَى خَاتِمِهِمْ وَ قَائِمِهِمْ الْمَسْتُورِ عَنْ 

the rulers of His Law and forbidders. O Allah send Blessings upon their Last and Qaim who is hidden from the worlds.

 عَوَالِمِهِمْ اللّٰهُمَّ وَ اَدْرِكْ بِنَا اَيَّامَهُ وَ ظُهُورَهُ وَ قِيَامَهُ وَ اجْعَلْنَا مِنْ 

Show us his time, his reappearance and his establishment and make us from among his suppoters.

 اَنْصَارِهِ وَ اقْرِنْ ثَارَنَا بِثَارِهِ وَ اكْتُبْنَا فِي اَعْوَانِهِ وَ خُلَصَائِهِ وَ اَحْيِنَا فِي دَوْلَتِهِ 

Make our revenge close to his revenge, write us from among the ones aiding him and loyal to him and let us Blessed to live in his kingdom,

 نَاعِمِينَ وَ بِصُحْبَتِهِ غَانِمِينَ وَ بِحَقِّهِ قَائِمِينَ وَ مِنَ السُّوءِ سَالِمِينَ يَا 

 enjoying his closeness, standing for his right and free from evil,

 اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ وَ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَ صَلَوَاتُهُ عَلَى [وَ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَى‏] 

O the best of the Mercifuls. All praises belong to the Lord of the worlds and Blessings be upon

 سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ خَاتَمِ النَّبِيِّينَ وَ الْمُرْسَلِينَ وَ عَلَى اَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ الصَّادِقِينَ

 Mohammad, the seal of the Prophets and Messengers of Allah and upon his truthful family,

 وَ عِتْرَتِهِ النَّاطِقِينَ وَ الْعَنْ جَمِيعَ الظَّالِمِينَ وَ احْكُمْ بَيْنَنَا وَ بَيْنَهُمْ 

the family of speakers for the sake of Allah. The curse be upon all the cruels. Decide between us and them,

 يَا اَحْكَمَ الْحَاكِمِينَ 

O the Best of the deciding ones.
